Understanding the Leno AI Dashboard
April 15, 2026
Track AI reply usage, review unanswered questions, and monitor knowledge sources from one central dashboard.
What Is the Leno AI Dashboard?
The Leno AI Dashboard is the default landing page when you open the Leno AI section of your LenoChat workspace. It provides an at-a-glance summary of four areas: how many AI replies you have consumed this month, how that usage is distributed between Leno AI Agent (the autonomous chatbot) and Leno AI Copilot (the AI assistant for human agents), how many visitor questions the AI was unable to answer, and how full your knowledge sources currently are. Every metric is drawn live from your current plan data and knowledge base, so the numbers always reflect your real-time state.
- AI Replies Usage — shows your current monthly consumption across your base plan and any active add-on packs, displayed as paginated usage cards with renewal and expiry dates.
- AI Usage Breakdown — visualizes how your total AI replies are split between Leno AI Agent (chatbot) and Leno AI Copilot (assisted responses) using color-coded donut charts.
- Unanswered Questions — highlights visitor questions the AI could not answer from your knowledge base, with a direct link to review and resolve each one.
- Knowledge Sources — displays the current fill level of each knowledge source (uploaded files, website URLs, Q&A pairs, and Shopify products) with a visual progress bar and a Manage button for each.
Navigating to the Leno AI Dashboard
The Leno AI Dashboard is the first page you land on when entering the Leno AI section. It is accessible from any screen in your LenoChat workspace using the steps below.
- Step 1: Log in to your LenoChat dashboard and look at the left-hand sidebar. Locate the Leno AI menu item — it appears in the main navigation and uses the Insights icon.
- Step 2: Click Leno AI in the sidebar. This opens the Leno AI section, and the Dashboard page loads automatically as the default view.
- Step 3: If you have navigated away to another Leno AI sub-page such as Settings or Knowledge Base, click Dashboard in the Leno AI secondary navigation to return to the main dashboard.
- Step 4: The welcome banner at the top of the page confirms you are on the correct screen. It reads 'Welcome to Your Leno AI Dashboard' with the subtitle 'Track Your Monthly AI Usage and Knowledge'.

The AI Replies Usage Panel
The AI Replies Usage panel appears on the left side at the top of the dashboard. It shows how many AI replies you have used this month across your base plan and any active add-on packs. Usage cards are displayed three at a time and are navigable with previous and next arrow buttons when you have more than three active items to show. Each card represents one plan tier or add-on and tells you exactly how much of its allowance has been consumed and when it renews or expires.
- Plan cards display your tier name (for example, 'Monthly AI Replies (Plus Plan)' or 'Monthly AI Replies (Starter Plan)'), the renewal or expiry date, and a large fraction showing used versus total replies — for example, '245/500 AI Replies'.
- Annual plan cards display an expiry date rather than a renewal date because annual packs expire at the end of the contracted year rather than resetting each month.
- Add-on cards appear when you have purchased additional AI reply packs on top of your base plan. Each add-on shows its own expiry date and remaining balance separately from your base plan. If you have no add-ons active, the card displays a 'Need More? Top Up Now' call to action that links directly to the Subscription page.
- The panel uses pagination so that only three cards are shown at once. If you have multiple active add-ons alongside your base plan, use the left and right arrow controls to page through all cards without the panel becoming cluttered.
Understanding the AI Usage Breakdown Charts
The AI Usage Breakdown panel appears to the right of the Usage panel at the top of the dashboard. It visualizes how your total AI replies are divided between Leno AI Agent and Leno AI Copilot using donut charts. This breakdown lets you see at a glance which AI mode is driving most of your usage, so you can verify your AI configuration is working as intended and plan usage accordingly.
- Each donut chart uses orange to represent Leno AI Agent usage (the autonomous chatbot that handles conversations without a human present) and blue to represent Leno AI Copilot usage (the AI assistant that suggests replies to your human agents during live chats). The center of the chart shows the combined total as a fraction, such as '312/500'.
- Below each chart, a two-item legend shows the exact reply count for each mode. The legend labels are 'Leno AI Agent (Chatbot)' for the orange segment and 'Leno AI Copilot (Assisted Response)' for the blue segment, each with their individual usage number and an 'AI Replies' subtext.
- If only one AI mode is active — for example, if you have Copilot turned off in your activation settings — the chart shows 100% of usage in the Agent color and the Copilot legend item shows zero. This confirms at a glance that only the intended mode is consuming credits.
- Like the Usage panel, the Breakdown panel is paginated and shows two charts at a time. Use the arrows to navigate when you have more than two plans or add-ons to review simultaneously.

The Unanswered Questions Section
Below the two usage panels, the Unanswered Questions section highlights visitor questions that the Leno AI Agent was unable to answer from your current knowledge base. These are questions where the AI could not find a sufficiently confident match in your uploaded files, website URLs, or Q&A pairs, so it triggered your Handoff behavior instead of replying. The section shows the total number of unreviewed questions, giving you a clear and actionable signal of where your knowledge base has gaps.
- The count displayed on the 'To Review' button reflects the number of unanswered questions currently awaiting your attention. For example, 'To Review 3' means three distinct visitor questions have been logged that the AI could not confidently answer.
- Clicking the 'To Review' button navigates you directly to the Unanswered Questions page inside the Leno AI section, where you can read each question, write an answer, and save it to your knowledge base so the AI can handle the same question correctly in the future.
- Once a question is reviewed and added to the knowledge base, it is removed from the counter. The number updates on the next page refresh, so a counter at zero means there are currently no unresolved gaps waiting for your attention.
- If the button shows zero, there are currently no unanswered questions pending — your knowledge base is covering every question visitors have recently asked. Maintaining a zero count is a strong indicator that your AI is well-trained for your actual visitor traffic.
Knowledge Sources at a Glance
The Knowledge Sources section occupies the lower portion of the dashboard and shows the current fill level of every knowledge source connected to your Leno AI. Each row displays an icon, title, description, usage fraction, and a green progress bar representing fill percentage, plus a Manage button that takes you directly to the relevant management page.
| Knowledge Source | What It Contains | Usage Format | Action Button |
|---|---|---|---|
| Uploaded Files | Documents you have uploaded — such as PDFs, Word files, and plain text files — that the AI reads to answer visitor questions. | X of Y Files | Manage → Knowledge Base |
| Website URLs | Individual webpage URLs you have added so the AI can crawl and index their content for answering questions. | X of Y URLs | Manage → Knowledge Base |
| Q&A Pairs | Manually written question-and-answer pairs that give the AI precise, curated answers for your most important or frequently asked questions. | X of Y Q&As | Manage → Knowledge Base |
| Product Catalog (Shopify only) | Products synced from your connected Shopify store, enabling the AI to answer questions about inventory, pricing, and product details. Only visible when a Shopify store is connected to LenoChat. | X of Y Products | Manage → Products Page |
Using the Dashboard for Proactive AI Management
The Leno AI Dashboard is designed to be checked regularly, not just at initial setup. The combination of usage data, breakdown charts, unanswered questions, and knowledge source fill levels gives you everything required to manage your AI proactively. Building a brief daily or weekly review routine around the dashboard helps you maintain a high AI resolution rate and avoid disruptions caused by exhausting your monthly AI reply credits.
- Start each week by checking the AI Replies Usage panel. Note the current usage fraction and estimate whether your current pace will remain within your monthly allowance. If usage is running ahead of schedule, consider purchasing an add-on or reviewing whether both Copilot and Agent are both needed at full capacity.
- Review the AI Usage Breakdown to confirm your AI modes are behaving as configured. If Copilot usage is unexpectedly high, verify whether agents have the Copilot feature enabled when it should be off. Unexpected Agent usage may mean the autonomous chatbot is handling more volume than anticipated.
- Check the Unanswered Questions counter each time you visit the dashboard. Any number above zero is a direct request to improve your knowledge base. Clicking 'To Review' takes you immediately to the question list — adding one Q&A pair per question is typically sufficient to train the AI for that topic.
- Monitor your Knowledge Sources progress bars. A source approaching its limit — for example, 9 of 10 URLs used — is a prompt to review whether all added URLs are still current, remove outdated ones to free space, or upgrade your plan to expand the limit and accommodate more content.
